[This blog post comes from a Dept. of Cultural Resources press release – you can find other news related to NC Cultural Resources here.]
RALEIGH – Effective Saturday, July 9, the State Archives and State Library will reduce Saturday hours to 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Archives and History-State Library Building at 109 Jones St., Raleigh. This is in response to state budget restrictions. The offices will be closed July 4 weekend also.
The State Archives and State Library strive to maintain some weekend hours to serve researchers who have a particular need for access on weekends.
The State Archives and State Library are divisions of the N.C. Department of Cultural Resources, the state agency with the mission to enrich lives and communities, and the vision to harness the state’s cultural resources to build North Carolina’s social, cultural and economic future.
