I just announced an updated version of our Christmas exhibit, “Carolina Christmas,” over on the main Archives blog. While there aren’t many Civil War related items in that exhibit, there are a few including two diary entries – one from Alonzo Etheridge Bell writing from the prison on Governors Island, N.Y. (1861) and another from Catherine Ann Devereux Edmondston of Halifax County (1864).
